Have you made that New Years resolution yet?   Well the HLIA is here to help!

Saturday, July 11, 2009 is the “Son of a Sailor” 10K Walk/Run (6.2 miles) around your neighborhood (Hess Lake).  Start time is 8:30 a.m.; entry fee is $20 (before July 5, 2009.  All proceeds go to cancer research and awareness.

We heard many of you comment last year “I’m gonna do that in '09” --  it’s not to early to start your training program!

Over 240 folks last year enjoyed being a part of this annual event for an opportunity to help raise money for cancer research and awareness along with having a good time meeting fellow lake residents and getting some good exercise.

Sponsors and volunteers are needed to help underwrite the cost of this event and donate in kind items, along with working the day of the race.

New this year are printed mile marker signs!  For a donation of $50.00, anyone can sponsor a mile marker for the year of 2009 and have their name printed on it.
